Student Spotlight: Amelia See

Inversions always seem daunting at first, but I love the adrenaline and sense of satisfaction that come with achieving a new milestone.

Recently I’ve been obsessed with pincha because it is more stable than handstands and has the same potential to create beautiful shapes and silhouettes. ☺️ Finding my balance was not easy though - I saw no progress for the longest time. But once I stopped focusing on the pose and worked on strengthening exercises and learning the right techniques, everything fell into place. I feel that sometimes we are too eager to achieve an inversion that we overlook the importance of ‘basic’ poses that actually build up to it.

It’s always encouraging to see little improvements over time and everything comes with practice (and not giving up) 😊
