Why do you love inversion/handstand?

It’s fun! I do Aerial Hammock and Silks which involves a lot of pulling - the pushing action in handstand provides a balance in my practice.

Which one is your favorite?

The kick up handstand as it is the style I am most comfortable with. Still working on my balance though!

What was the most difficult or challenging part of your inversion/handstand journey?

The fear of falling over. I fell over whilst attempting handstand before attending Handstand class at Align, and that memory has remained with me since.

And how did you overcome that?

Funnily enough, by falling over and over in Handstand II class! We are taught to cartwheel out of a handstand during class, and that has enabled me to fall without injury. It also made me realise that falling over is not so bad after all.
